Producer Brandon Howard, better known as B. Howard, takes his turn in the spotlight with the release of 'Super Model,' a new song from his album 'Genesis.'

With production credits including Lupe Fiasco's 'Kick, Push II' and Marques Houston's 'Favorite Girl,' Howard tends to produce his own material. But on 'Super Model,' he teams up with Michael Jackson producer Teddy Riley and Ra Charm to create an infectious R&B groove.

"Take a picture, strike a pose / Hope I get the right frame," Howard sings, alternating vocals with a female singer on what becomes a sexy duet. Howard's singing is a bit reminiscent of the King of Pop, particularly when he summons his falsetto for the titular chorus.

"You can have it if you want it, just come with me, yeah," Howard continues. "Girl, I can take you over, give you something to see."

The Chicago native has a rich musical heritage, as his grandmother Josephine Howard was a member of the '60s gospel group the Caravans and his mother is Grammy-nominated R&B singer Miki Howard. For the last six months Howard was producing some of Asia’s biggest recording artists, as well as performing in sold out shows throughout Japan.

Even before hooking up with Teddy Riley, Howard had close ties to the Jackson family. Miki was once managed by Joe Jackson and recorded a duet with Jermaine, while Howard is friends with Randy Jackson's daughter Genevieve, who appears in the 'Super Model' video.

'Super Model' -- currently available on iTunes -- appears on Howard's international debut 'Genesis,' which is planned for a future US release. The album also features a collaboration with members of the Roots, who he performed with in February at their annual Grammy Jam. Roots member Questlove admits his admiration for Howard: “He’s just an extraordinary talent," he says. "It's almost as if an unspoken spirit has blessed him. I consider it an honor to have worked with this man."
