Somewhere, Psy is crying. This week, Baauer's viral phenomenon 'Harlem Shake' enters the Billboard Hot 100 at No. 1 thanks to a new charting methodology that now incorporates YouTube views into the formula.

'Harlem Shake' was released last June but went mostly unnoticed until recent weeks, when YouTube videos of the dance craze began popping up everywhere. The track has gotten little radio airplay, but that no longer matters since the song is doing so well on YouTube and at iTunes, where it's the top-selling single.

Baauer, a 23-year-old Brooklyn producer named Harry Rodrigues, says of the song's success, "It’s gotten absolutely insane. All I did was make the song so it’s kind of a weird place for me to be at. I birthed it, it was raised by others, and now it’s like my weird, f---ed up adopted teenage kid coming back to me."

Had the new charting formula been in effect last year, Psy's 'Gangnam Style,' the most-watched video in the history of YouTube, would have spent several weeks at No. 1 instead of getting stuck at No. 2 for seven straight weeks. In fact, this week 'Gangnam Style' jumps from No. 48 to No. 26 on the chart because millions are still watching the video online.

'Harlem Shake' knocks 'Thrift Shop' by Macklemore and Ryan Lewis from the top spot. Just behind at No. 3 are Rihanna and Mikky Ekko, who jump 54 notches with their duet 'Stay.'
