It takes a lot to upstage Kendall Jenner, yet somehow it managed to happen.

Both Jenner and Gigi Hadid headed the recent Balmain x H&M fashion show in New York City, yet the closing performance for the event on Tuesday, October 20 was what left audience members most in awe.

In a surprise twist of events, resilient '90s boy band and heartthrobs, the Backstreet Boys, took to the stage to perform some of their biggest hits, complete with some on-point choreography that made it seem like it hasn't been nearly two decades since they first dominated the charts. Hollywood Life reports that all five original members—Nick Carter, Brian Littrell, Howie Dorough, Kevin Richardson, and AJ McLean (just in case you forgot!)—killed it as they performed "I Want It That Way," "Larger Than Life," and "Everybody (Backstreet's Back)."

US Weekly reports that Jenner and Hadid were seen standing up and singing, and models were rushing the stage during the Boys' performance, so it seems safe to say that everyone in attendance was feeling "Larger Than Life" in that moment.

This surprise performance from the Boys follows heavily speculated rumors that they are working with the Spice Girls to co-headline a tour together, although US Weekly notes how plans are still in the talking phase. Even still, such rumors have sparked quite a resurgence of '90s fever, with fans and critics alike championing the possibility of what could be an incredibly monumental tour.

Additionally, the Boys are in the process of recording a new album, and Nick Carter is currently a contestant on Dancing with the Stars. So, despite some time away/out of the spotlight, it's clear that the Boys are ready to make another big appearance sometime in the near future. Watch Cosmopolitan's video of the show below.
