Bella Thorne may have made our Best Dressed List with an emerald green Valentino romper at the 2014 Kids' Choice Awards -- but that's only because the 'Shake It Up' star suffered a fashion faux pas earlier.

"I had a major wardrobe malfunction," the 16-year-old redhead revealed to Us Weekly. "I had to get my outfit approved, and it didn’t get approved so then this morning I picked this outfit," she explained.

"We thought maybe it wasn’t right for this," she continued, explaining that her first choice ensemble clashed with the loud backdrop and orange carpet. "… I didn’t think the color was going to look good on the background."

"You really have to be cautious on what the background is because it can really mess up your whole outfit," she revealed to the magazine.

While her first choice didn't pan out as she had hoped, we're glad she chose the vivid green Valentino romper. The bold color looked incredible with her porcelain skin tone and went flawlessly with her flowing strawberry blonde curls, which cascaded down her back.

Plus, the short length of the romper showed off her endlessly long, model-esque legs and sky-high metallic gold Christian Louboutin heels. And here's the best news of all: the stunning emerald shade made her stand out against the brightly colored backdrop -- instead of clash with it. Good choice, Bella!
