Usher's 'Looking 4 Myself,' which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Top 200 upon release, is the R&B superstar's seventh album and the reason it's hitting its targets on first try is because it traverses many genres. Pop, R&B, dance and slow jams populate the album, as does Usher's distinct falsetto croon.

The crooner was not afraid to try new things and dip his toes into many different pools, giving the album unpredictable flavor. You can shake it to 'Scream,' bump and grind to 'Lessons for the Lover,' or sing along with Usher's smooth vocals on the breakup track 'Climax.'

Usher has staying power and an assertive album like 'Looking 4 Myself' serves to show us that he ain't going anywhere and won't be fading into pop music obscurity. As if.
