If Mariah Carey's Christmas album 'Merry Christmas' isn't a staple on your holiday playlist, then you best run to your nearest record store (or computer to download on iTunes), and add it ASAP.

The album features cover versions of the most popular Christmas songs, as well as a few originals, including the Christmas season staple that caused Carey to be synonymous with the holiday, 'All I Want for Christmas Is You.'

As of 2011, the album has sold over five million copies in U.S. (15 million worldwide), has been certified Platinum five times over -- impressive for just a simple holiday album release, but not unfamiliar to Carey -- and is considered to be the best-selling Christmas album of all time.
