The Kids' Choice Awards is one of the more casual events of a celeb's red, er, orange carpet calendar -- and rightfully so, since the producers and powers-that-be do toss green slime all over the place.
Granted, the green junk is meant to douse the fans, but sometimes celebs deal with the messy fallout so they can't go couture. However, the stars at the 2014 Kids' Choice Awards (March 29) showed up in spring-ready attire, looking fresh, fun, flirty and cool in bright colors and with shorter hems!
There are the PopCrush picks for the Best Dressed at this year's KCAs.
Lea Michele's salmon pink, spaghetti strap, textured mini popped against her tawny skin. She owned the faux bob look and perked up with hot pink lips. This flirty frock was easily our favorite of the night. We also dig the mirrored platform.
Victoria Justice donned an intricate Versace mini with lots of detailing. The texture and print elevated the dress to fancy schmancy, but the flirtatious length kept it appropriate for the skew of the event. Her deep side part was also supremely sexy. Lookin' good, Vic.
Bella Thorne was radiant in an emerald green shorts jumper. The material's color and sheen paired beautifully with the her fiery red hair and porcelain skin. The result? Just gorgeous. Nothing is prettier than a ginger kid in green, and Thorne was lovely in this jewel-toned one-piece. Her mirrored gold heels were fab, too.
Yay! Ariana Grande ditched her usual uniform of a frilly and poufy floral frock in favor of a straight silhouette. She also nixed her familiar ponytail and let her locks hang, which worked in concert with her clingy, sexy, yellow-orange shift. We loved it. Oh, and check out her 'Rugrats' x Chanel clutch. It's TDF -- to die for.
James Maslow was handsome in his semi-casual attire. The Big Time Rush member and 'DWTS' competitor paired maroon pants with studded sneakers to dress up his basic black suit jacket and tee.
Check out Cody Simpson rocking a black and white, modernized take on the Elvis look, thanks to the pompadour, the leather jacket and the black and white loafers. He was a bit of a handsome and rebellious throwback from another era.
Gigi Hadad, the girlfriend of the above-mentioned Simpson, was spring-ready in crisp, cream-colored floods paired with a cornflower blue top and booties. It was super chic.
Kira Kosarin's name may not be instantly familiar to you, but the 16-year-old actress who stars on Nick's 'The Thundermans' found her way onto our fashion and style radar with her cobalt blue, gold belted dress. The full skirt was chic, classic and so pretty on her.
Sophia Grace and Rosie were pretty in pink, and were princesses with tiaras. How could these adorbs British tots be anything but best dressed? Check out their mischief-making smiles and stances!
