Best Dressed Lady at the 2012 BET Awards – Readers Poll

Last night (July 1) at the 2012 BET Awards, female singers and rappers strutted their stuff at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles. Entertainers like Brandy, Monica, Beyonce, Nicki Minaj, Michelle Williams and Willow Smith all dressed to impress for the show, with some taking on more edgy looks while others kept it classic in fancy dresses.

Although we didn't see her on the red carpet, Brandy was certainly present at the 2012 BET Awards, as she walked through the press room wearing a cross between an ornate button-up shirt and a breezy dress. Her 'Boy Is Mine' counterpart Monica also did her own thing in a maroon pantsuit with a velvet, structured jacket and shiny matching pants.

Meanwhile, Beyonce took things to her usual glamorous level, rocking a bright yellow, satin gown with lots of layering and a thigh-high slit. She topped off the look with a metallic belt and off-white pumps. On the opposite spectrum is Nicki Minaj, who stepped into the press room after the BET Awards wearing high-waisted gator skin pants, a bright yellow bra top, a leather jacket and sparkly pumps.

Like Beyonce, former Destiny's Child member Michelle Williams donned a demure yet very sexy pink and black dress with lace accents. But more like Ms. Minaj, pint-sized songstress Willow Smith took things to an edgier place, posing for pictures in ripped up tights, a Misfits tee, combat boots and a bowler cap.
