Best Dressed Singer at 2013 BRIT Awards – Readers Poll
There were so many beauties in black at the 2013 BRIT Awards, we could've sworn they planned the color coordination. Jessie J, Jessie Ware, Taylor Swift, Emeli Sande and Lana Del Rey all rocked their own unique black dresses, while Rita Ora missed the memo, opting for a luxurious gown in peach. Out of these six songstresses, who do you think had the best red carpet look at the 2013 BRIT Awards?
If you scroll down a ways, you'll see larger photos of each red carpet starlet. Kicking things off are the Jessies, as in Jessie J and Jessie Ware, who looked absolutely stunning in their BRIT Award ensembles. The 'Domino' hit maker showed off cleavage in a chic way thanks to the plunging neckline on her black Versace wrap dress, topping off the look with golden accents and Jimmy Choo pumps. Jessie Ware also dazzled in black and gold, wearing a custom-designed, midriff-baring Miu Miu dress with thigh-high slit. The 'Wildest Moments' chanteuse had one of the most eye-catching looks of the evening, and she completed it with a burgundy handbag and black wedge sandals.
Taylor Swift was another knockout in her black, floor-length gown by Elie Saab, perhaps the '22' singer's favorite fashion designer. Saab's silhouettes flatter Swift's figure beautifully, and the gam-flashing sheer panels on the dress were sexy without being over-the-top. She also cinched the dress at her waist with a gold belt, and chose strappy Giuseppe Zanotti heels for the occasion.
Then there was the night's big winner Emeli Sande, who played it a bit safe but still looked adorable in her LBD. The collared black dress was classy, and despite its shorter length, it was definitely fancy enough for the occasion. The Scottish singer-songwriter, who scooped up the awards for Album of the Year and British Female Solo Artist, finished off her look with patent leather bow pumps and a retro hairdo.
Finally, while we didn't love Lana Del Rey's dress or Rita Ora's gown, some might beg to differ. Lana Del Rey, who also won the trophy for International Female Solo Artist, showed up in a black, button-up, '50s-esque frock with a belt and pointed flats. Despite being Chanel, it felt a bit too casual for the prestigious award show. Rita Ora, on the other hand, went the opposite route and chose a dramatic satin gown by Ulyana Sergeenko, although the seams appeared to be frayed and her svelte figure was lost under the weighty gown.
