It’s Friday once more, PopCrush readers, which means we’re (web) surfing a big ol’ wave of brand new tunes! If you feel like you’re drowning in a sea of songs, desperate to know which tracks and videos deserve your attention, consider this your life preserver: Below, discover the best songs #NewMusicFriday has to offer.

“Interweb," Poppy
Cyber pop princess Poppy delivers haunting '80s inspired new wave on "Interweb." Sinister synths swarm around a thumping, lurching beat as Poppy sings about catching "you in her interweb" like a spider. It's catchy, creepy pop at its most inviting and neon-hued.

“Lady Powers," Vera Blue
Australian singer-songwriter Vera Blue captivates on "Lady Powers," a bewitching, dark slice of sharp electro-pop with a feminist edge. Vera's magical, folksy voice glides over the track's throbbing beat, before ascending to ethereal heights on the chills-inducing pre-chorus: "I'm not gonna beg / For your respect / I won't be defined by your eyes."

“Mermaid," Skott
Scandinavian pop enchantress Skott is otherworldly on "Mermaid," a fantastical mid-tempo alt-pop ballad that flickers with hints of Fleetwood Mac's folksy soul and Lana Del Rey's vintage romanticism. A swirling soundscape of somber synths create a dark fairy tale atmosphere, while the singer weaves melodies as delicate as a siren's song.

“Moonlight," Grace VanderWaal
America's Got Talent's ukulele-playing wunderkind Grace VanderWaal delights in the video for "Moonlight." Grace's earthy vocals waltz alongside a light driving rhythm, ukulele strums twinkling in the background and punctuating the young singer's emotive voice. It's joyful noise, if not a bit bittersweet, and wouldn't sound out of place perched between Lorde and Sia on Top 40 radio.

“Remedy Take 2," Moon Hyuna
"Cricket Song" singer Moon Hyuna, formerly of Nine Muses, returns with another dreamy, soothing Lowkies-produced track on "Remedy Take 2." The K-pop star's whipped cream-light vocals levitate like a zephyr over a mildly tropical soundbed of lush synths and shimmery guitar strums. It's a beachy bedtime lullaby, perfect for floating off to dreamland while curled up in a hammock under the stars. (As an added treat, check out the house remix.)
