Remember how impressed you were when you found out that Beyonce didn't just drop ONE new song on an unsuspecting world, but 14 of 'em? Well, prepare to have your mind blown ...

Queen Bey revealed that she actually recorded a jaw-dropping 80 new tracks for her fifth album, released without a single word of advance notice on Dec. 13. Simply titled 'Beyonce,' the collection of 14 songs and 17 videos has been both chart topping and record setting, selling some 991,000 copies in its first two weeks and pirated more than 240,000 times.

Beyonce might have set another record for the number of tunes she left on the cutting-room floor too! In a new promo video released on her website, she discusses how she whittled down the number of tracks to a more manageable size.

Speaking directly into the camera, she says, "When I started picking the songs that I gravitated towards -- because I recorded about 80 songs -- it was the songs that were more effortless for me that stuck around that I still love that I loved a year ago when I recorded them."

The new five-minute clip, titled 'Part 3 Run 'N Gun,' is part of Bey's 'Self-Titled' series. The videos are meant to give insight into her "mind-set and artistic vision throughout the making of the entire project."

She also talks the album's standout track 'Drunk In Love' and the sexy video that accompanies it. "I wish every video was like 'Drunk,'" she says. "It's been interesting doing these videos, and there's something different for me, because I usually plan things and I'm trying to rebel against perfection. It's fun, because you never know what's going to happen."
