Beyonce admits that her culinary skills don't come close to matching her musical talents, but that's not stopping her from pursuing plans to release a soul food cookbook! A source tells The Daily Mirror that the singer has been inspired and encouraged by Gwyneth Paltrow, who released her own cookbook earlier this year.

The source says the book would be based on Beyonce's family's recipes: "Her mom Tina started the tradition whereby anywhere in the world they are, she always puts on a soul food spread of collard greens, cornbread, mac ’n’ cheese and fried chicken. Bey would love to include these family recipes in a book."

Beyonce once called herself a "disaster in the kitchen," but she might be turning over a new leaf. The source adds, "as she thinks about a family, she’s spoken about this with Gwyn and is raring to go."

In April, Paltrow released her own family-themed cookbook, called 'My Father's Daughter: Delicious, Easy Recipes Celebrating Family & Togetherness.' Sheryl Crow and Patti LaBelle are among the other musical divas who have put out their own cookbooks.
