Beyonce + Jay-Z Blew Off Oscars to Dine With Sarah Jessica Parker

You know you're one of the biggest stars on the planet when you can totally and completely blow off the Academy Awards, which is precisely what Beyonce and Jay-Z did.

According to the New York Post, the Carters were spotted at a restaurant in New York City's Lower East Side having dinner with Sarah Jessica Parker and a few others. Did they even have the award show playing on a television in the background? Hell no!

An insider who saw the group at the restaurant said, "They were there until well after 1AM with their friends, laughing and eating." Why go to a stuffy Oscars party when you can party with the likes of HOV, Queen B and SJP? That's what we thought...

Bey's sister, Solange Knowles was spotted at Vanity Fair's Oscar Party, but she is actively promoting her new album and music career. Perhaps big Oscar parties don't quite have the same draw for the likes of Bey and Jay seeing as they have reached the upper echelons of fame.

Maybe the couple is taking every moment they get to relax before their busy tour schedules start this summer? Beyonce is setting out on her Mrs. Carter Show world tour for four months starting in April. Jay-Z, on the other hand, will headline London's Wireless Festival and set out on his Legends of the Summer North American tour with Justin Timberlake.

Glad to see the Carters are enjoying life outside of the limelight!
