Beyonce Monument to Be Erected in Houston

Society worships its celebs in 2012 with things like wax figures. But when it comes to Beyonce, wax just won’t do. The singer, mother of Blue Ivy and pride and joy of Houston, Texas is fixing to get her own monument, which will be located in her hometown. Screw the Lincoln Memorial in D.C. It’s all about the Beyonce Memorial that is being considered for Houston!
Bey is not behind this plan nor is she commissioning it. She’s too busy with taking care of an infant and being one of the busiest pop stars on the planet. My Fox Houston reports that a plan to erect a monument to Miss Bootylicious is in the works.
A trio of partners is working on the plan and they are seeking private donations to fund the monument. Armdeonce Ventures CEO Marcus Mitchell said, “We wanted to construct, like, a massive hall so as the doors open, if you donated to the monument, you’ll have a separate nameplate. There will be clips of Beyonce with Destiny’s Child and wardrobe like a mini museum.” So it’s like a Beyonce shrine, where fans can be a part of it.
The backers of this idea hope to have the monument put in place by Sept. 4, which would be Bey’s 31st birthday. Information about exactly where this Beyonce place of worship would be located and what the layout and floorplan would be like was not immediately clear. It could end up being a pipe dream or a new tourist attraction. All hail Queen Bey!
