The song 'Run the World (Girls)' is a mixture of different cultures and eras, with a message designed to give women strength. So when it came time to film the accompanying video, Beyonce went big.

She employed no fewer than eight choreographers and almost 250 dancers for the shoot, which is said to have borrowed its militaristic themes from Janet Jackson's 'Rhythm Nation' video and Tina Turner's performance in the movie 'Mad Max.'

And if you like fashion, 'Run the World (Girls)' is the video for you. Bey wears everything from armor to lingerie to runway couture. Lots and lots of runway couture, in fact, from a bevy of big-name designers including Alexander McQueen, Norma Kamali, Givenchy, Jean Paul Gaultier, Gareth Pugh and Emilio Pucci.
