Our brains almost just malfunctioned from watching this utterly fantastic and almost TOO fierce Grammy duet...

The year was 2004, and two of the most commanding pop artists of all-time, Beyonce and Prince, took the stage together. Prince kicked off the set with his signature color, purple, as he donned a vibrant shade on his suit and crooned through the first verse of his iconic track 'Purple Rain.' Soon enough, the newly solo Beyonce came out belting the second verse to the soulful pop-rock classic, with Prince joining her on the chorus.

But wait! You didn't expect this to end on such a serious note, right? The pair of superstars quickly segued into 'Baby I'm a Star' with a full band, blasting funky horns and vigorous vocals into the audience. After Bey booty bounced to a little bit of 'Crazy in Love,' she and Prince stood center stage again for 'Let's Go Crazy,' as Prince capped off their high-energy performance with a guitar solo that had Bey winding and grinding all over the place.

Both of the artists brought such an upbeat, spunky vibe, that it's impossible not to get excited watching this stellar performance.
