Beyonce will release the long-awaited follow-up to her 2008 smash album 'I Am... Sasha Fierce' in June, according to Digital Spy.

The site reports that label execs heard some of the new material and were blown away. Denis Handlin of Sony Music Australia reportedly said of the new music,  "These songs, the best description I can give is groundbreaking. She's gone to another level."

The little information that has leaked about the new record seems to confirm that Beyonce is branching out a bit. We reported previously that she is collaborating with Diplo and Sleigh Bells.

This will be Beyonce's first release without the guidance of her father, who is no longer serving as her manager. A single is expected sometime this spring.

'I Am...Sasha Fierce' produced hit singles 'Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It),' 'If I Were a Boy' and 'Halo,' and helped Beyonce win six Grammys, a record one-night haul by a female artist.
