Beyonce is taking a moment to remember Ian Cuttler Sala, the 43-year-old passenger tragically killed in a car accident involving Salma Hayek's brother, Sami. Sala, a Grammy Award-winning art director who has worked with the singer, died in L.A. on Sunday, Feb. 23, after Hayek crashed their car into an oncoming truck. Sala was pronounced dead at the scene.

Beyonce shared a photo of Sala on Facebook, along with the caption: "Rest in Peace Ian Cuttler."

"Ian was a Grammy Award winning art director and photographer who will be greatly missed," the caption continued. "His memorable work includes album covers for 'Destiny Fulfilled' and 'Dangerously in Love.'"

In addition to working with Beyonce (and Destiny's Child), Sala also worked with Mariah Carey, Ricky Martin, Billy Joel and Marc Anthony. In 2006, he won a Grammy for his work on the box set music package 'Johnny Cash: The Legend.'

After the accident, Sala's identity had yet to be revealed as his family still needed to be notified. He was said to be a friend of Hayek's.

The accident occurred when Hayek, 40, was driving eastbound on Sunset Blvd. in Bel Air when he lost control of the vehicle. He tried to correct himself, but ended up colliding with a truck going westbound. Hayek broke several ribs in the incident and was treated in a nearby hospital. The 20-year-old truck driver broke his foot.

Charges have yet to be filed in the incident.

R.I.P. We are remembering Ian Cutter Sala and are thinking of his family during this difficult time.
