Summer Fan Showdown is a month-long competition on PopCrush to determine this summer’s most dedicated fan base.

The competition is all fired up now: after millions (!) of votes, SHINee's Shawol successfully pulled away from the mighty TVXQ Cassiopeia, pulling through with 50.21% of the vote. It was no easy feat for BIGBANG's V.I.P either against Girls' Generation's SONEs, but they reigned supreme in the end with 50.19% of the vote. The question is: which fanbase makes it to the final round?

The highly praised SHINee, the five-piece sensations out of South Korea, have won themselves a dedicated fan base over the years ever since their 2008 debut. Just a few months ago, the group released their fifth Japanese album, Five, and toured all over the country. But will their faithful Shawol be able to push them into the final round of the Showdown?

And then there's BIGBANG: the long-running 5-piece boy band, which first debuted in 2006, have since gone on to become one of South Korea's defining pop acts. After performing their Big Bang The Concert: 0.To.10 Final In Seoul encore shows at the top of 2017 to wrap up their 10th anniversary activities, the troupe is currently down one member as T.O.P.'s required military enlistment begins — but they're still touring Japan, anyway. Will the V.I.P. keep the BIGBANG boys moving on to the semi-final round of the Showdown?

The battle starts now: place your vote between SHINee's Shawol and BIGBANG's V.I.P. This round ends on June 23 at midnight.

This round is now closed. Please vote in the final round!
