Birdman has made some unique signings in the past, but this one might take the cake. Cash Money Records has added the veteran rock-rap group Limp Bizkit to their star-studded label. Young Money CEO Lil Wayne spilled the beans when he called into New York's 98.7 Kiss FM on Thursday (Feb. 24).

"As far as Cash Money, they’re always listening and looking at acts, so honestly, it’s like every other day I hear about somebody new just signed to Cash Money,” Weezy told radio host Lenny Green. “The other day I just found out Limp Bizkit signed to Cash Money. So they’re signing everybody and everybody’s getting a chance.”

LB frontman Fred Durst confirmed the signing Friday morning on his Twitter page: "The game is missing danger, electricity, and rock n roll!!!!” Cash Money Limp Bizkit." Then he followed it with, "Rock shit doesn’t rock anymore! They say the whole game done went pop so I’m back in this ho! #CMLB."

Some rock fans were concerned about the band maintaining their authenticity with partnering with the rap label. But Durst assured them that Limp Bizkit will never change no matter who they signed to.

In addition, R&B songbird Ashanti might join the YMCMB family, as well. “I don’t wanna step across any boundaries, but I think we’re working with Ashanti right now,” Wayne revealed. Ironically, 'Shanti's single 'The Woman You Love' features recent Cash Money signee Busta Rhymes.

If this is true, Ashanti will be label mates with fellow singer Christina Milian who recently inked with Cash Money in early February.

While we are happy that Cash Money are expanding their label with these various signings, we hope they are not spreading themselves too thin. But we wish Birdman and Limp Bizkit much success in their rap-rock endeavors.
