Birdy and Ben Howard are the first duo to advance in the Singer-Songwriter category within PopCrush's Battle of the Brits competition. Both are extremely talented musicians and in the folk-indie genre -- but who deserves to move on to Round 3?

Birdy -- the 17-year-old who rose to fame after recording a haunting, yet beautiful cover of Bon Iver's 'Skinny Love' -- has an avid fan base, who helped her garner 75% of the total votes. Jessie Ware and her 'Wildest Moments' were no match for the budding starlet.

But Birdy must compete against Ben Howard, who may be slightly older, but was heavily acknowledged this year at the BRIT Awards, taking home not only British Breakthrough Act but also British Solo Male Artist! His album 'Every Kingdom' continues to build traction, producing uplifting singles like 'Keep Your Head Up' and 'Only Love.' In order to advance to Round 2, he had to beat out Tom Odell, and did so by a very small margin, earning just slightly more than 50% of the votes. It was so close!

So, who will you vote for to advance in the Singer-Songwriter category -- Birdy or Ben Howard? You can vote once per hour below until the poll closes on July 31 at 2PM ET.
