This weekend's polarizing Michael Jackson tribute show, dubbed Michael Forever, will be short a few Peas …. Black Eyed Peas, that is. The group has pulled out of its planned performance at the show, set to take place in Cardiff, Wales on Saturday, Oct. 8.

The reason the Peas aren't making the trip? "Unavoidable circumstances" is the officially issued reason. Well, that tells us absolutely nothing about why the group canceled at the 11th hour. The Peas were sure to be one of the show's biggest draws, and the band had stated how much they revered Jackson when their participation was announced. The show is not without its controversy and detractors, and has divided members of the Jackson family and fans, so we're wondering if that has something to do with the Peas bouncing from the lineup.

Chris Hunt, chief executive officer of the promotion company behind the gig, Global Live Events, said in a statement: "It is with regret that we announce the removal of Black Eyed Peas from the Michael Forever bill, but I look forward to a great night with other earth shattering artists."

While the Peas will be MIA at Cardiffs Millennium Stadium, Christina Aguilera, Leona Lewis and more are still set to perform as planned.
