To celebrate her visit to India, where she is performing at the opening of the Indian Premier cricket league, Katy Perry has released a Bollywood remix of 'California Gurls.'

Perry tweeted, "In honor of my visit to India, here's a free, spiced up version of California Gurls *Bollywood meets Hollywood*." The Jack O.A.T. 'Bolly Gurls' remix (via Just Jared) makes the song an intercontinental success with the addition of traditional Indian instruments to the dance-pop hit. The remix video mixes in Bollywood scenes with clips from the original video.

Perry's appearance was scheduled for Apr. 3 in the city of Chennai, where she was to appear with Bollywood stars. Before her visit, Perry said, “I know that everyone in India has waited for a very long time for me to come and perform professionally. I’ve enjoyed India on my own time personally, and now it’s time to give back to the fans. I’m really excited to be a part of something really big in India and to soak up all the culture and beauty that is India, and to learn about the country and the people, and just have an incredible experience.”

This is Perry's first visit to India since she wed Russell Brand in 2010 in Rajasthan. Upon arriving, she tweeted, "Sometimes jet lag makes me feel like a cross eyed crack head #muststayawake. Almost fell asleep in my curry last night, no joke. Woke up feeling SO much better after a fresh meditate...feels appropriate being in INDIA."
