Bowling for Soup, the pop-punk band known for cheeky hits like '1985' and 'Almost,' get serious on 'Turbulence,' a new song about staying strong amid difficult circumstances. 'Turbulence' appears on the group's upcoming album, 'Fishin' for Woos.'

The slowed-down track begins with a simple acoustic guitar, but gradually builds as drums and electric guitars enter the picture. The song highlights the vocals of frontman Jaret Reddick, who takes on the role of the everyman and reminds listeners that we all have to get through tough times:

"We're all just passengers tonight / We're all just travelin' through our lives / We will reach our destination, so just hang on for the ride / Say a prayer and close your eyes / It's just a little turbulence."

He continues by offering hope to those who may need it: "We've all got our problems, but they're just bumps in the road / If you only keep on fighting, there's nowhere you can't go."

'Fishin' for Woos' hits retailers on April 26. In January, Legacy Recordings released 'Playlist: The Very Best of Bowling for Soup,' which included 'Almost,' '1985' and 'Girl All the Bad Guys Want.'

Fresh off a series of shows at SXSW, the band will hit the road in late April for a six-week U.S. club tour in support of the new record.
