Panic! at the Disco frontman Brendon Urie's first steps into his new starring role on Broadway's Kinky Boots are decisive, sure and likely to blind you with their crimson sheen.

In a new video uploaded by the show's production, Urie — who will play Charlie Price from May through August — says seeing the show was unforgettable, and getting a chance to be a part of it is unthinkable.

"I used to dream about this day," Urie gushes between shots that find him getting his makeup touched up and performing high-kicks in the show's titular red heels. "When I saw it, I knew I wanted to be a part of it. It moved me so much — that end moment, the finale, I felt like I want to get up and shout and celebrate life and that kind of feeling."

Urie first announced he was joining the Broadway production in an April 11 tweet, in which he shared with followers that his casting was a longtime dream.

"This has been on my bucket list for the longest time,” he said. “It really is a dream come true. I’m so incredibly excited…plus, you guys get to see me in those heels now.”

Kinky Boots follows Charlie Price, a man who inherits his father’s shoe factory. Charlie eventually befriends a drag queen named Lola, with whom he teams up to sell a particular line of high-heeled boots that have the potential to save the family business.
