Update: Bridget Jones's Baby will hit theaters on September 16, 2016! New, spoiler-y photos from the set have surfaced as well — head over to ComingSoon to see them, if you don't mind some plot details ruined for you.

A third installment of the massively popular Bridget Jones movies, titled Bridget Jones's Baby, is currently in the process of filming, and it looks like Renee Zellweger's Bridget Jones has officially upgraded her trademark diary (of the pen-and-paper variety) to something a little more electronically relevant: an iPad.

Universal unveiled the first photo of the upcoming sequel's filming via Twitter, with Zellweger-as-Bridget posing with her new electronic diary, holding it tight to her chest.

According to the Telegraph, the third sequel will begin where the second movie, Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason, left off and will be based on author Helen Fielding’s columns, rather than her third full-length novel Mad About the Boy.

In case you couldn't surmise from the title alone, the titular character is unexpectedly pregnant in this movie, and it looks like Bridget has no clue as to who the baby’s father is. While that seems like the perfect opportunity to see Colin Firth and Hugh Grant reprise both their roles as Darcy and Daniel Cleaver, respectively — don’t get your hopes up.

According to Cinema Blend, Firth will play Colin in the new movie, but Hugh Grant opted out of the sequel. He said, “I decided not to do it. I think they’re going to go ahead and do it without Daniel. The book’s excellent, by the way, but the script is completely different – well, the script as I last saw it a few years ago.”

Patrick Dempsey has signed on in his place, though there’s no word as to what his part in the film will be yet.
