Britney Spears Wins at 2015 Teen Choice Awards, Talks New Music and Possibly Leaving Las Vegas
Last night may have been an evening dedicated to teen-friendly acts like One Direction, Little Mix and Fifth Harmony, but Ultimate Teen Choice Award winner Britney Spears still managed to steal the show...and all while looking hot as ice.
The rainbow hair-havin' Living Legend, who often rocks the spots in the streets with a pair of Ugg boots and ripped jean shorts, was (incredibly) awarded by Fifth Harmony with the Style Icon Award (with whom she's had incredible on-stage interaction with in the past on X Factor USA), proving once and for all that her #phucksfree style is, indeed, iconic.
And, in typical Britney-in-the-audience-at-an-award-show form, she seemed particularly unbothered by her latest achievement, likely daydreaming instead about going home for a nice bowl of cheesy grits and some Sex & The City DVDs.
But that's not all!
In addition to rightfully claiming her fashion award, the "(Drop Dead) Beautiful" beauty also spoke to E! Online outside on the blue carpet about her Las Vegas residency Piece Of Me, as well as working on new music — code name B9.
With her last show scheduled for New Years' Eve 2016, Britney revealed she's not really sure she's going to extend the run of her Vegas show past that point: "I'm not really sure. I haven't made up my mind. I really love doing the show. It's a lot, a lot of fun but I'm kind of torn right now. I don't really know what I want to do," she explained. As always, we'll just have to wait and see.
As for what's she got going on while she's deliberating? New music!
"We're having fun right now. I'm working with some women who are amazing writers," she said of her current studio time, which includes a recent session with Sam Bruno. "I have ballads and, of course, dance music—fun cheeky sexy stuff."
The album will be a follow-up to 2013's Britney Jean. And, as we already know, she's been working with "Clarity" songwriter Matthew Koma on new songs as well, including one track influenced by Squeeze.
Queen of teens. Queen of fashion. Queen of fun, cheeky sexy stuff.
