Britney Spears and Charlie Ebersol Break Up

All good things must come to an end is something they should really teach every inhabitant of planet Earth straight from birth. It's true -- everything ends, eventually, be it a relationship which casually fades out, a loved one who dies, a chocolate molten lava cake you shovel into your mouth after a particularly stressful day at work. So it is with Britney Spears and Charlie Ebersol, who have reportedly ended their relationship after eight months of dating, and we're all sighing pretty heavily about it, you know?

According to TMZ, a source says there's no ill will between the couple, which is good to hear because Britney doesn't need the added stress of a dramatic breakup in her life. She deleted a few photos of Ebersol off her social media pages which caused an initial, mini-freakout from various media outlets, but sometimes you just need a clean break, you know? It doesn't really matter how amicable a breakup is -- when you say goodbye to a person who's been heavily involved in your life for any amount of time, sometimes it's best to delete them from Facebook and pretend they never existed in the first place. Eternal Sunshine-ing might become a real thing, did you know?

Ebersol reportedly signed a non-disclosure agreement before he was allowed to fully commit to being Britney's boo, so he won't be doing any Twitter Q&As about their relationship any time soon. And that's how it should be, right? Give Britney some well-deserved privacy.
