According to Yahoo!, Britney has been forced to cancel two upcoming weekend shows in Las Vegas, in order to let her ankle heal. Britney's team released a statement saying, "Britney injured her ankle during her performance Wednesday evening and her doctor has advised her not to perform Friday and Saturday evening so that she may heal."

During a performance of her hit song "(You Drive Me) Crazy," Britney took a misstep that caused her to roll her ankle and fall to the ground. If you've never rolled your ankle, consider yourself lucky -- it's pretty painful. Like the true professional Britney is, she continued on with the show. Afterwards, she posted her thanks to fans for the well-wishes on Twitter, writing, "Thank you for all of the sweet wishes! Had a little scare on stage tonight with my ankle but I'm ok!"

While the injury was clearly serious enough for Britney to cancel two shows, we're glad it isn't so serious that she has to postpone her entire Vegas residency. Hopefully she'll recover just fine this weekend, just two weeks ahead of her performance with Iggy Azalea at the 2015 Billboard Music Awards. The two are set to debut their collaboration at the show, performing "Pretty Girls" for the first time together.
