UPDATE (9/8): The full FLAUNT cover story has arrived — and it's a pretty guarded one.

“Oh, I’m so weird...I get nervous in a lot of situations. Parties, clubs. When there are a lot of people around, I’m a weird, anxiety-ridden person," she reveals in the article, written by Gregg LaGambina.

Deeper inside, along with a high fashion photo shoot in front of an altar with the Virgin Mary, she reaffirms a sentiment she's repeated throughout the Glory campaign: that she's a boring mother now.

"I’m actually a very boring person. I don’t go out. I don’t really do anything. I should be Mother Mary, seriously. I think my life has done a complete 360. Things are just different now. It’s a different time. It’s a different era," she explains.

When asked about her legacy, she admits just how much she doesn't enjoy engaging with her own music (Carpool Karaoke, anyone?): “It’s funny, because I don’t really listen to my music...I sing my songs every night [at her ongoing residency at Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas] and I have to listen to it that way, but I’m all about change. And new. And forthcoming. But, there is a part of me in my music and I hope, for my fans, that they can have that part of me when they hear me on the radio, or buy my CD, or whatever they do.”

As opposed to any of the other promo pieces throughout the Glory era, the story centers largely around the all but impervious bubble built around Britney by her team — and her unwillingness to entertain this particular writer and his seemingly rude questions. (“You’re going to keep performing despite what comes?”, he asks her at one point.)

She reaches toward the clear, glass coffee table and slides the digital voice recorder closer, looks at the time elapsed, and asks, "Is that how long we’ve been talking?"

"Yes,” I say. “Eighteen minutes.”

"Oh, then we have two more minutes."

It's pretty clear that, based on her decision to shut down the conversation short, she isn't feeling it. At one point, when asked why "she still chooses to put herself back out there," she bites back: “I don’t understand your question.”

And interviews? Yeah...it's safe to say she could do without 'em: “No more interviews? That would be great!”

Britney Spears knows how to FLAUNT it.

According to TMZ, pop music's long-reigning princess covers the new issue of FLAUNT, an indie music, fashion and culture magazine based in Los Angeles.

Perfectly on-brand for the singer's newly released, not-so-poppy album Glory, the hazy, blue tinted cover shows a moodier side for the pop star as she poses in a black crop top, leather skirt and smokey eye shadow, her sultry eyes cast down.

Covers for previous issues have starred celebrities like Beyonce, Nick Jonas and Vanessa Hudgens.

Spears' cover reveal comes just a day before the superstar's high-profile performance at the 2016 MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday, August 28, which TMZ sources allege will be "all about the music": a "high-tech performance" with "no big surprises like a Madonna kiss or a 12-foot python."
