Even though there have been rumors that Britney Spears and Jason Trawick were on the rocks for a while, it was still a bit of a shocker to hear that they split. The pair seemed to genuinely care about one another a whole lot, and it bummed all of us out when they broke up. Now, more details around the ended engagement have surfaced, and it's starting to make a little bit more sense.

TMZ reports that the pair had disagreements over starting a family of their own. Trawick reportedly adored Spears' two sons by ex husband Kevin Federline, Sean Preston and Jayden James, but didn't want to have kids of his own with the singer and erstwhile 'X Factor' judge. That was a sticking point for Spears, who was eager to expand her brood.

Another issue? Trawick felt like being with Spears and her "empire" took away his own identity. Further, Spears and her camp were apparently uncomfortable with Trawick -- an agent -- taking on more clients.

Radar Online reports that Trawick is no longer Spears' co-conservator, and that problems were brewing for a long time. “Britney doesn't think Jason is any fun and resents him because he acts more like a second father than a romantic partner or equal. Britney and Jason have been sleeping in separate bedrooms for a very long time.”
