Britney Spears Covers Madonna’s 1983 Single ‘Burning Up’

Britney Spears is on fire and we're not just talking about her resurgent career. We've stumbled upon a leak of Brit Brit covering Madonna's early hit 'Burning Up,' which put Madge on the map all the way back in 1983, when an armful of black rubber bracelets and fingerless lace gloves comprised the Material Girl's signature look.

The leak fuels further speculation that Brit will be performing her version of the song on her upcoming 'Femme Fatale' Tour. How much fun would that be?

Check out the loop of Brit singing the song and declaring, "I'm on fire," which was presumably recorded for use during the tour. Brit even plays a little with the diction, singing, "I'm on fi-ya!" We can just envision thousands upon thousands of Britney fans singing along with her and bouncing up and down in the crowd while she has her way with this song.

Maybe Madge will come to a show and make a cameo? Perhaps tour mate Nicki Minaj will perform with Brit? Anything's possible when a couple of femme fatales get together. Brit Brit is bringing sexy back this summer!
