Who Did Britney Spears Originally Want As Her ‘Pretty Girls’ Sidekick?
By now, you probably can't picture the "Pretty Girls" video without Iggy Azalea as a mouthy alien, but it turns out Britney Spears originally had a different starlet in mind to serve as her leopard-printed partner-in-crime.
In an interview that aired on Good Morning Britain today (June 12), Britney admitted she originally hoped one of her good friends, Nicole Richie, would be up for playing a Valley Girl with Brit in whichever project came next for the pop star — but once the singer heard "Pretty Girls," it just made sense to move forward on the idea with Iggy, instead.
"Before we even got the song, I called my manager...and I actually wanted Nicole Richie to be in it, and I was, like, 'We could do something really funny,'" she recalled. "'We could be Valley Girls.'"
And though Brit Brit, whose Las Vegas residency is in full swing, says she's having a blast performing, she revealed she could see herself being a teacher or dance instructor in a different life. And, in the event neither of those worked out, she'd consider nannying for a certain celebrity couple...
"I met Brad Pitt once, but I'd like to meet him again," she said. "And I'd like to become [his and Angelina Jolie's nanny]." Make no mistake: Even pop princesses have dreams of cozying up with other A-listers!
