Britney Spears Trial: Ex-BF Adnan Ghalib Claims Singer’s Mother Told Him to Lie
There's a new update in the Britney Spears trial in which her former manager Sam Lutfi is suing for defamation.
The singer's ex-boyfriend Adnan Ghalib, who briefly dated the superstar when she came apart at the seams back in 2008, claims that Brit Brit's mother Lynne Spears ordered him to lie to the media in order to make Lutfi look like the guy at fault for the singer's much-publicized mental breakdown.
Spears had a blink-and-you'll-miss it relationship with Ghalib, a member of the paparazzi. We know, that's a recipe for disaster for a pap magnet like Brit Brit and makes it feel like she was asking for it, but still. The singer was not in her right mind at the time. According to TMZ, he took the stand yesterday (Oct. 30) and testified that Mama Bear Spears personally issued a directive to trash Lutfi in order to turn the public against him.
Ghalib did not confirm or deny whether or not he followed the edict handed down by Mrs. Spears.
Brit's dad and co-conservator Jamie Spears also took the stand and admitting to "touching" Lutfi during an altercation, but he denied that he violently attacked him. That's a stark contrast to Lutfi's testimony, where he claimed that Papa Bear Spears beat the living you-know-what out of him and punched him the abdomen.
This is really turning into a circus of the three-ring variety.
