R&B superstar Beyonce is being honored by Broadway. According to Broadway.com, a group of up-and-coming Broadway performers will pay tribute to Mrs. Bey with songs in a musical production called 'Broadway Sings Beyonce.'

The one-night only event, which features tunes from Beyonce's expansive catalog, will take place on Dec. 3 at New York's (Le) Poisson Rouge theater. Among the Broadway stars who are performing at the show include Saycon Sengbloh ('Fela!'), Marcus Paul James ('In the Heights'), Russell Fischer ('Jersey Boys'), Kate Rockwell ('Bring It On'), Shaleah Adkisson ('Rent'), Emma Hunton ('Spring Awakening') and many others.

The Beyonce tribute is the third in the 'Broadway Sings' series, in which performers from the Great White Way salute artists in pop music. Previous honorees were Michael Jackson and Adele. Tickets are available online at $25 and $30 on the day of the show.

Although Beyonce has no future plans to hit the Broadway stage, in a 2009 interview (pre-Blue Ivy), Bey said that performing on Broadway would be her dream job. "I'll be able to go to the theater every day and drop my [child] off...and then go do what I love and have some normalcy and have a regular schedule," she said. "I definitely want to do Broadway."

Hopefully, this musical event will encourage Beyonce to one day strut her stuff on the Broadway stage.
