Police in Fort Worth, Texas have confirmed they are investigating a death threat against BTS singer Jimin following the circulation of an online post shared by someone claiming they were planning to shoot the artist during the group's tour stop in September.

"I’m going to shoot Park Jimin with a Glock 19 in Fort Worth on September 16 while he signs Serendipity. It’s going to be fun seeing his lifeless body hit the floor," an unidentified user wrote on Q&A social app Curious Cat.

"He’s been alive way too long and always getting in the way. Why I’m telling you this? Because nothing can happen to me on cc, ask the armys getting racist ccs for being n---as," they added.

The Fort Worth police department were notified after a BTS fan saw the message and reported the death threat to both Big Hit Entertainment (BTS' label) and Visit Fort Worth, the official visitor Twitter for the Texas city, on Thursday, May 10.

Hours later, the police department confirmed they were looking into the threat, tweeting, "We are aware of the threat made to the BTS concert (in Sept) and it is currently being investigated/looked into."

BTS' highly anticipated Love Yourself World Tour will visit the Fort Worth Convention Center in Fort Worth, Texas on September 15 and 16. The event is currently sold out.
