BTS Through the Years: Photo Gallery

One of the biggest K-pop acts on the planet—and one of the most beloved modern boy bands, period—BTS, the winners of our PopCrush Fan Choice Best Album of 2016 poll, exploded onto the scene when they made their full length album debut in 2014.

With members initially recruited through auditions in 2010 and 2011, BTS (a.k.a. the Bangtan Boys) were officially established in 2012 as a seven-member pop group comprised of singers-dancers Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Rap Monster, Jimin, V and Jungkook.

In 2013, the Seoul, South Korea-based band released their first singles album, 2Cool 4Skool, which won them several "New Artist of the Year" awards and which they followed up with their full-length debut Dark & Wild the following year.

When the boys released their landmark record-breaking sophomore album, WINGS, in October 2016, it debuted at No. 26 on the Billboard 200, making it the highest-charting, best-selling debut by a Korean act to date.

As BTS continues to spread their WINGS in the global music industry, look back at the charming and talented boy band's journey from young K-pop hopefuls to international superstars in the photo gallery above!
