Nothing can stop this man from manicuring his lawn.

Theunis Wells, of Three Hills, Alberta -- that's in Canada -- has become something of a legend after his wife snapped a photo of him mowing their lawn with a tornado looming behind him.

Cecilia Wessels captured the moment last week in the hopes of showing her family what a tornado looks like, since they are not common in their native South Africa.

Theunis said all the hullabaloo is much ado about nothing because he wasn't in harm's way. "It looks much closer if you look in the photo, but it was really far away," he told the Times Colonist. "Well, not really far, far away, but it was far away from us. I was keeping an eye on it."

And if you're wondering what exactly would possess a person to be so hyper-focused as to keep doing the lawn despite the risk an impending weather system straight out of the The Wizard of Oz is on the horizon, well, the reason is pretty simple. Theunis says he wanted to take care of the job because he had a busy weekend of shuttling his kids to their games ahead of him. That means this guy put his life on the line so Junior could make it to soccer on Saturday morning. That makes him either dad of the year or a total lunatic. You decide.

There's another photo with a more expanded look that lets you see just how much ground he had to cover.
