Carly Rae Jepsen doesn't get why people think she is a lot younger than she is. The 'Call Me Maybe' cutie just turned 27, but people still assume she is in her early 20s. Perhaps it's the fact that she does dress a bit young for her age. Or maybe it's just good genes. Why complain if you get carded, so to speak? Accept the compliment that people think you look young, since it means you look good.

"If people think I look younger, then that’s great; I’m stoked,” she told Cosmopolitan in her cover story, where she does look age appropriate with a colorful outfit and smoky eyes (quotes courtesy of Noise 11.) "But I turned 27 in November, and when I look in the mirror, I see all of the years attached to that face, and I’m content with me."

CRJ did acknowledged that her wardrobe could play a part in it. She has a reverse view of fashion, preferring to look "classy and as elegant as possible in my apartment. But when I’m onstage, I can't dance in four-inch heels, so I’ll generally sport flats. But I don’t think that means I’m trying for an age younger than I am."

So there's her rationale for looking younger, in terms of her attire. It makes sense. Don't want to break an ankle or the neck by dancing in heels!
