Country-pop superstar Carrie Underwood was dazzling during her 2015 American Music Awards performance tonight, where she sang her second Storyteller single, "Heartbeat."

The Country Favorite Female Artist nominee looked breathtaking as she appeared against a moonlit background at the beginning of the song, floating red lanterns and flickering candles enveloping the stage making for an ethereal, purely magical performance. Wearing an elegant red gown and with her hair pinned in a cascade of blonde curls, the American country music darling put on a soothing show with the romantic ballad off her fifth studio album. Watch below:

Absent from the live performance, however, was American country artist and fellow American Music Awards nominee and winner Sam Hunt, who provides backing vocals on the actual album version of "Heartbeat."

Storyteller was released back on October 23. It debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Top Country Albums chart.
