Radio personality Casey Kasem has gone missing from his California nursing home.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the 82-year-old DJ, who suffers from Parkinson’s disease, disappeared shortly after he received a visit from his children at the Berkley East Convalescent Hospital on May 6. Last year, his three children — Kerri, Julie, and Mike — and current wife Jean Kasem began to battle over Kasem’s healthcare and visitation rights.

Kasem’s family is blaming his vanishing on Jean, who doesn’t seem to have a good relationship with the Kasem children or Kasem’s first wife, Linda Myers Naylor.

His daughter Julie spoke with THR, claiming, “We had a wonderful visit with him Tuesday at Berkley East Convalescent Hospital — he was thriving there — and [Jean] yanked him out of there after hours.”

“We’re scared. Is he getting the care he needs?” added Kasem’s brother, Mouner Kasem.

On Monday (May 12), Superior Court Judge Daniel S. Murphy ordered a court investigation to find the American Top 40 host.

His daughter Kerri later turned to Facebook to share more news. “Justice was finally served! I just won temporary conservatorship over my father’s healthcare. We have been vindicated by the court. Thank you for your prayers, well wishes and support through this entire ordeal.”

She made another post to add, “I believe my father’s wife fled the country (or possibly went to an Indian reservation) with my Dad because she knew I would win in court today. The judge ordered Adult Protective Services, the PVP Attorney and the police to look for him. Please pray that he is safe.”

Our thoughts are with the Kasem family.
