We have an update regarding the Sean Kingston jet ski accident that occurred over the Memorial Day weekend. TMZ did some sleuthing and spoke with Cassandra Sanchez, the rapper's longtime friend who was involved in the crash, about the incident. Based on Sanchez's first-hand account, the accident seems to have been a result of speeding way too fast on the jet ski.

Sanchez confessed she and a female friend hit Miami Beach to ride jet skis with Kingston and another friend on Saturday evening. She then recounted the events that followed, saying, "Both jet skis pulled out of the dock at the same time and we were going so fast we just blasted past them. When we turned a corner and crashed ... They were so far behind us they didn't even see us crash."

As Kingston's jet ski was racing towards a collision with the bridge, Sanchez says she screamed out, "We can't fit under there! Are we going to try and go under there? Sean stop!" She believes that Kingston attempted to veer away from the bridge at last minute but lost control of the vehicle because they were going "really fast."

Sanchez's next memory of the event was of waking up, in the water, and in pain. The people on the other jet ski tried to help out, attempting to position Kingston, who was coughing up a mixture of "blood, foam and pink stuff," in a different angle so he would stop swallowing water. They signaled for help and waited for a boat to arrive on scene and offer an assist.

Sanchez said that Kingston kept repeating the same phrase, "I'm hurting," immediately after. Sanchez says she is okay, despite a sore jaw and ribs. She says that Kingston can't speak due to a tube being inserted in his throat, but she did say, "he is lucid and understands what's going on." She also said doctors plan to keep him in the hospital for a few more weeks.

Get better soon, Sean!
