Season 2 of 'The Glee Project' kicked off tonight (June 5), moving to its new night. The theme was 'Individuality,' with the new cast being immediately tasked with showing co-creator Ryan Murphy and viewers just who they are, all the while working within the contexts of their castmates. Sadly, we only just met country cutie Maxfield, who was sent home.
The Glee Project
The second season of 'The Glee Project' kicked off tonight (June 5) with a serious bang. The guest mentor was 'Glee' superstar Lea Michele aka Rachel Berry. The 14 contestants were completely overwhelmed by her presence, with a few breaking into tears. Michele was introduced by co-creator Ryan Murphy, who called the show "an inspiration contest" and confirmed that there will not be multiple winners this season.
The swoontastic Samuel Larsen was the first of the two main winners of 'The Glee Project,’ with a seven episode arc on the way for season 3. The dreadlocked dreamboat engaged in a little chat where he took fan questions and addressed the subject of romance on the set of the reality competition series.
Emily Vasquez, a contestant on 'The Glee Project' who was eliminated on the third episode of the show, is moving in anything but slow motion in the video for her song of the same name. The clubby song is matched by a night-on-the-town video that finds the native New Yorker in a variety of outfits that scream "I wanna hook up." There is nothing wrong with that, as she is young, talented and assertive.
'Glee' creator Ryan Murphy threw a curve ball on the season finale of 'The Glee Project' on Sunday night: He announced that both Samuel Larsen, 19, and Damian McGinty, 18, would be written into the show as part of seven episode arcs, so both finalists actually won 'The Glee Project!' While the whole point of a competition such as this is to have a winner, Murphy couldn't choose who demonstrated the quality of 'Gleeality' better!
