After four seasons, Cee Lo Green has left 'The Voice' in order to pursue other projects. The eccentric singer and 'Voice' mentor accidentally dropped the bomb during a visit to 'The Ellen DeGeneres Show,' which airs today (Feb. 19).

Green, who served as a mentor during the first three seasons and the fifth season of the show, told DeGeneres that he is leaving 'The Voice' behind him.

"I'm not coming back at all," he told the shocked host. "I just don't want to wear out my welcome there, you know what I'm saying? I have so many other things that I want to do. I haven't released an album in four years. I'm almost done with my album."

However, Green may not be leaving the small screen for good. The larger-than-life Grammy winner, who is planning an upcoming tour with Lionel Richie, also told DeGeneres that he will not cut ties with NBC just yet.

"I have a television show development deal with them and hopefully some other talk show opportunities for later in the year," he revealed. "But yeah, I'm going to miss 'The Voice' too."

Still, it is not all roses for Green. The 'Forget You' singer has recently dealt with some legal woes. Earlier this month, he appeared in court over charges made by a woman who claimed that he gave her Ecstasy during dinner in Los Angeles. Green, who denies the charges, told the media outside of court that he is a fan of "good, cleaning living."
