Cee Lo Green's team put on the performance of the night tonight on week three of 'The Voice,' tearing the house down and earning the praise of all four judges with their take on Pink's 'Perfect.'

In fact, fellow judge Blake Shelton said that when Cee Lo is old and gray, one of his biggest regrets in life would be matching up Vicci Martinez and Niki Dawson against each other so early in the competition. See, only one contestant gets to move on, with Cee Lo forced to send the other singer home.

But we're getting ahead of ourselves. At the rehearsal room, Cee Lo expressed both excitement and fear for the upcoming performance: "You both have this very youthful zeal, this optimism. All right, let's go for it. I love you guys so much. This is gonna be ... oh god. This is gonna be hard for me."

He brought along some coaching help in the form of R&B diva Monica, whose career is certainly one both of the contestants would be thrilled to match in any degree. The two stars seemed to inspire the combatants to work together, and after they kicked butt to the amazement of all four judges with their final performance, they hugged in a nice display of sportsmanship.

This left Cee Lo with a tough decision to make. Let's go to the tape: "Niki, you did an exceptional job. Vicci, you've got this war dance. There's this gut-wrenching effect you have on me. I pick Vicci." Don't feel so bad for Niki. though. It seems her time with Cee Lo may start again. As the cameras faded out, he was seen telling her, "You call me. I'll see about you."

Over the coming weeks, Cee Lo's going to have more hard decisions to face as he pares his teams down ever further, into a fierce fighting unit fit to crush the spirit of his fellow coach's teams. Or something like that.
