On Feb. 7, Bruce Jenner was involved in a major car crash that killed two other drivers along the Pacific Coast Highway near his home in Malibu, California. Though Jenner walked away unscathed, the Olympian and reality TV personality may face criminal prosecution. Sources close to the investigation think that is unlikely, however, as Jenner was not speeding, texting or under the influence of drugs or alcohol at the time of the accident, TMZ reports. Jenner is reportedly "devastated" by what happened, and as a friend tells People magazine, he and estranged wife Kris Jenner have "cried together" about it.

As tragic as this event was, it is sadly not the only time a celebrity has been linked to another person's death. Ferris Bueller's Day Off star Matthew Broderick was implicated for dangerous driving in an Ireland car accident that killed two people in 1987. First Lady Laura Bush collided with another car, killing one of her close friends, in 1963. In both situations, the drivers weren't thought to be under the influence. But then there are those ever grisly stories of when a person in the spotlight is linked to death, as in the case of legendary music producer Phil Spector, who was convicted of murder in the second degree after he fatally shot actress Lana Clarkson in his California mansion in 2003.

In the photo gallery above, find these and a dozen more examples of celebrities involved in the deaths of others. The list spans quite a few generations.
