Born Shaffer Smith, this formerly toothless schoolboy lived in Arkansas before he and his mama packed up and moved to Las Vegas. There, he honed his musical abilities (ranging from singing, dancing, songwriting and producing) at the Las Vegas Academy and later as a member of a now defunct R&B boy band. Fun fact: Before he adopted his now famous, two-syllable moniker, he went by the semi-similar stage name "GoGo."
