Celine Dion and her husband, Rene Angelil, held a traditional baptism ceremony on Saturday (March 5) in Las Vegas for their four-month-old twin sons, Eddy and Nelson. According to the Las Vegas Review Journal, there were approximately 200 family, friends and guests in attendance to witness the traditional christening. The doctors who delivered the twins on October 23 and those who treated Angelil's throat cancer more than a decade ago were also present.

Dion and Angelil's oldest son, 10-year-old Rene-Charles, is one of the three godfathers to his baby brothers, along with Angelil's sons Patrick and Jean-Pierre. Angelil's daughter, Anne-Marie, and Dion's sister, Linda, are the twins' godmothers.

Following the baptism at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church in Summerlin, a private reception was held in the Garden of the Gods pool at Caesars Palace, the same hotel and casino where Dion will launch her new Vegas show later this month. While the proud parents mingled at the reception, little Eddy and Nelson, who wore Baby Dior gowns during the ceremony, napped.

The choice to have their twins baptized in Vegas stemmed from the family's long ties in the city, according to Angelil. "Our son grew up here from age one to age seven," he says. "And we've had a home here since 2003."

Dion's new Vegas show at Caesars Palace kicks off on March 15. For more information on the shows or to purchase tickets, click here.
