Charice Shoots Down Illuminati Rumors

Charice is using Twitter to shoot down rumors that she's a part of the Illuminati, a powerful secret society that allegedly controls world affairs.

“What's up with these news and people saying about Illuminati?!" she tweeted on Wednesday (July 20). "Again, I am NOT part of it. So just please, get a life and grow up. Thank you."

Buzz around the singer's alleged link to the organization began after she released her single, 'Pyramid,' last year and started forming a pyramid sign with her hands before audiences at shows and appearances. The hand gesture has been said to represent the “All-Seeing Eye,” a symbol that is commonly used by the Illuminati.

Although the rumor has been circulating for over a year, the 19-year-old has only just responded to it, blasting the idea for its ridiculous nature. Since April 2010, fans have continued to inquire about her link to the Illuminati, pushing her to squash the rumor entirely.

Charice recently released 'Far as the Sky,' a new tune that will be used as the theme song for the Japanese TV show called 'Bull Doctor,' which premieres this month. The Filipina star is currently in the studio working on her new album, which she hopes to release this fall.
