Cheryl Cole has been busy working on her new album since being fired from 'X Factor,' and has reportedly teamed up with Lana Del Rey on a new song for the forthcoming LP.

"Cheryl is a big fan of Lana and was intrigued to hear she had lots of songs written which she wasn't going to sing herself," an insider told The Sun. "She got hold of one and was really taken with it. The record label are pretty happy about it because Lana has a massive following."

The U.K. paper says the two beauties have created an "urban, mid-tempo ballad" that will likely be one of the first songs to be released from Cole's third album. The as-yet-untitled disc follows 2010's 'Messy Little Raindrops.'

Del Rey isn't Cole's only celebrity collaboration. The singer has worked on new tracks with the likes of Rihanna, Taio Cruz and Far East Movement. Like RiRi, Cole has also reportedly teamed up with Calvin Harris on a new song that is expected to light up the club scene just as 'We Found Love' did.

“It’s a huge track and something everybody is incredibly excited about," a source told gossip site Dean Piper. "It’s made for the club scene and a dance classic. They’re thinking about a global launch for her next time around and everyone behind the scenes is very excited indeed."

The source added, "Calvin’s been wanting to work with Cheryl for ages and he’s thrilled it has finally happened. It also features Cheryl’s manager will.i.am on the track, too."

The rumors are certainly swirling around this project! Cole's forthcoming album is set to arrive later this year.
